Dj duo KimKat consists of two gorgeous and very talented females Kim Lee and Kat Nova. Kim Lee is Vietnamese and French and Katrina Nova is Russian. They met in 2007 and became unseparatable since then. At that time both were pursuing modeling career and had a lot in common. However while Kim Lee was dedicating her time to modeling and acting, Kat Nova decided to proceed with career in finance.
Kim Lee’s modeling career took off. She has appeared on many magazine covers and in editorials for OK! magazine ,Maxim, Maxim indonesia, FHM Russia, Romania, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Style magazine, Elle magazine. She was voted #1 2011 FHM Sexiest women of the World. In late 2010 while Kim lee was working on the movie Hangover 2, Kat Nova was approached to appear on a dj show. Shortly after, both decided to start their career as djs and attended Scratch Academy in LA. At the same time Kim Lee got an offer by very close friend of hers, Apl de Ap from The Black Eyed Peas, to manage the duo.
Dj KimKat is currently touring in Asia. The duo has spinned in Asia, Europe, South and North America. The duo is famous for their electro sets, however they spin all genre from heavy trans, to hip hop, to top 40. Also DJ KimKat is currently producing their own tracks and will be collaborating with Apl and other artists as well. The duo has been working with another talented producer Brian Kennedy, who is known fro producing “Disturbia” for Rihanna and “Forever” for Chris Brown, on creating their new album.
Estimated release date is October 2012.
Besides djing, traveling and modeling, girls are also big on giving back to the community by starting fund raisers for victims of catastrophic tragedy in Japan, kids from abusive families and shelters for women
